Hydrolysed collagen is a pure collagen protein obtained from animal raw materials. Most hydrolysed collagen in Europe is obtained from pig. Others are sourced from cattle or fish.
Raw Materials
The raw materials are collagen rich tissues from animals fit for human consumption and equivalent to those used for the manufacturing of gelatine.
Production Process
The raw materials undergo a gentle, enzymatic hydrolysis of the collagen polypeptides until the desired collagen peptide molecular weight is achieved.
Legislation
Hydrolysed collagen legislation is covered by the same laws as gelatine. All legal and safety aspects are equivalent.
