Who has not spent the day after a long night out on the town suffering from a headache? Because of the lower sulphur content of today’s wines, this is rarely caused by the wines themselves and is more likely due to overindulging. In fact, as long as they are consumed in moderation, particularly red wines are said to be beneficial to the health.
Organic wines are recommended for those suffering from allergies. Less sulphur is used in their production and their corks are not chlorinated. Another positive side effect: pasteurisation and hot bottling are also not allowed, which ensures that the wines retain most of their natural vitamins and minerals.
