Onions and garlic provide aromatic flavour
The two bulbs are responsible for the finely spicy flavour of the liver pâté. They are veritable all-rounders and versatile in their use in the modern kitchen as a vegetable or spice. Their characteristic flavours originate from sulphur-containing secondary plant compounds. However, these not only provide for a special taste experience, but are also beneficial to the health. They inhibit the growth of bacteria and stem infections. Furthermore, they are said to have a positive effect on high blood pressure.

Food for the eyes
You can offer your next guests a treat for the eyes with this liver pâté. This is because the gelatine in the recipe ensures that it melts deliciously in your mouth – but also allows for a beautiful shape. Adding summer fruits such as blackberries, raspberries, or figs not only creates an unusual blend in terms of flavour, but simply looks fantastic when nicely arranged. Serve with a French baguette and a light summer wine.
