What is the perfect way to round off a good meal? While some prefer a creamy dessert, others swear by delicious coffee specialities. So why not combine the two to form a melt-in-the-mouth delight?

A new creation
One of the most popular coffee specialities is latte macchiato. This trendy drink, whose name literally means "spotted milk", is a heavenly blend of frothy milk and espresso. Characteristically served in a tall, narrow glass with a long spoon, it is a pleasure at any time of the day. And now this aromatic speciality has been turned into a deliciously creamy creation. The latte macchiato cream dessert – one that won't just see coffee fans turning weak at the knees.

Such creative ideas can best be realised using gelatine. This natural foodstuff is not just special thanks to its unmistakable mouth feeling. Thanks to its unique gelling properties, there are virtually no limits at all on ideas for creative shapes. Combined with a delicious espresso, almond syrup and whipped cream it can be used to create a sweet, creamy delight for the palate with all the stimulating power of coffee.

By the way:
This ingenious recipe was developed by the renowned German television chef Andreas C. Studer. He is convinced by the positive qualities of gelatine: "Thanks to gelatine it is easy to get dishes into the right shape. But the best thing is that gelatine melts at body temperature, and so these dishes literally melt in the mouth."
