Gelatine is Indispensable for a Modern, Balanced Diet and for a Healthy Body
People in permanent stress have to pay special attention to a balanced diet, sufficient exercise and relaxation. But these people in particular prefer fast-food and ready meals due to a lack of time, and generally reduce their exercise to a walk to their colleague’s office. Even so, diet and exercise are the keystones of well-being, performance and looking good.
Gelatine: A Light Source of Protein!
Food should taste good, but not overload the stomach. It should provide en-ergy and power for the whole day: Protein, carbohydrates, polyunsaturated fatty acids and vitamins are important components of the diet. Being a pure protein, gelatine particularly combines many positive properties for a health-oriented diet. Not only a source of high-quality protein, gelatine is free of cholesterol and sugar and contains practically no fat.
Gelatine is easy to digest, is completely broken down by the human organism and has no allergic components.
Gelatine is thus an ideal choice for a low-fat and light whole-food diet. It can therefore be used to enrich protein, reduce fat and carbohydrates, as a car-rier for vitamins and table salt reducer. Many meat and sausage products, as well as ready meals, have very high concentrations of salt. Thanks to the use of gelatine hydrolysate, the proportion of table salt can be greatly re-duced without the products making any compromises in flavour.
For the body to be able to manufacture its own protein as well as possible from food, the right combination of protein elements is decisive. For exam-ple, cereal bars offer plenty of complex carbohydrates, fibre and vitamins; gelatine improves the protein intake.
Fit and Attractive with Gelatine
Proteins are very important for the regeneration of the body. The natural protein gelatine contains high concentrations of the amino acids glycine and proline, i.e. 10 to 20 times higher than in other proteins. Glycine and proline are important components of the connective tissue and give it firmness and elasticity. This means that gelatine has a regenerative and strengthening effect on the bones, cartilage, tendons and ligaments.
For the optimum provision of these amino acids, a daily dose of 10 g gela-tine is recommended. For example, this amount can be found in one to two protein bars from well-known sports’ food manufacturers or in 200 g aspic products, e.g. poultry aspics. However, the simplest solution is gelatine hydrolysate, which can be steered into water or other liquids, available in pharmacies and health food stores. But the natural product gelatine can do a lot more: if taken every day, it works like a beauty treatment from the inside. Gelatine strengthens the hair and the fingernails. It also improves the hydration of the skin and makes wrinkles less prominent.
